A 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Corporation
Helping Hands Children's Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity, incorporated in the State of California. Our organization emerged in 2021 out of a pursuit to inspire and support the needs of children locally and internationally. We are comprised of strong and compassionate individuals who share the same goal and passion to make a difference in the lives of children in extremely poor areas that are often neglected by the government's underfunded system. We work with both local and international groups to help better serve these children's needs. We provide food, water, shelter, livelihood, education and financial assistance but most importantly LOVE and HOPE to those who truly need it the most.
Our Programs
Making a Difference
Deep Well Project
Water is one of the most basic human necessities. It is essential to life. Yet, many communities still lack access to clean water. One such community is Capas, Tarlac, Philippines, a mountainous area, home to the indigenous Aeta tribes with a population of about 580 individuals. The residents walk as far as 1 mile each day to retrieve water from neighboring communal deep wells. The other source of water is from rivers which are muddy in the rainy season and dry during the summer months. Other rivers have water that runs from a nearby volcano with high levels of sulfur content. In 2024, we partnered with a local organization in the Philippines and funded the building of 3 deep wells and 2 impounding water catchment systems.

With your support, we hope to build more and provide safe water for this Aeta community.

School Meals Project
To break the cycle of poverty, education is key. But without a proper meal, student learners are unable to focus on their studies. That's why we must first look at providing the most basic necessity: food. Our School Meal project in an Elementary School located in a remote province in the Philippines serves approximately 700 meals to students from 1st grade to 6th grade.

Please consider donating so that we may be able to serve meals to more schools and more children in poor communities and get them on their way to a bright future.

Scholarship Program
For school year 2024-2025, our Scholarship Program will benefit five extraordinary college students from the indigenous Aeta tribe families in rural Philippines.
Their stories of life’s challenges and hardships due to extreme poverty varies, but all share the same determination and passion to pursue college degrees and give back to their Aeta roots. They are in their senior year of college pursuing their Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. Unfortunately, their previous sponsors will not be able to continue to help them financially but with the support of generous people like you, their tuition for the semester have been paid and they are ready to start their final year of college. Good luck to our five scholars and future educators!

Food Distribution to our Essential Farmworkers
Side by side with other non-profit organizations, we travelled to Watsonville, California where we donated and distributed food, clothing, shoes and baby items such as toys, diapers and strollers to poor families of our essential migrant farmworkers.

We are always grateful for the opportunity to serve these marginalized group. As we enjoy our vegetables, fruits and nuts that fill our refrigerators, please think about these hardworking farm workers working 6 days, barely surviving on low income, no health insurance, exposure to pesticides, living in crowded households and always in fear of deportation. All these seem unjust considering how essential their jobs are to us.

Feeding Program
This poor community in La Union Philippines is located on a seaside. When tropical storms hit multiple times a year, their source of income, fishing and farming gets destroyed. Oftentimes, there are not enough money to buy food for the family.
Your donations will help us reach more communities and provide food for the children.

School Supplies Distribution
We know that a good education is key to breaking the cycle of poverty. Parents in poor communities such as this one situated on a landfill in Rizal Philippines oftentimes do not have enough money for food, let alone school supplies for their children. They make a living scavenging for any recyclable materials. We donate school supplies to communities like this one year round.

Your financial support is vital for us to continue to support the needs of these children.

Feeding Outreach
Providing food for hungry children in impoverished communities is one of the major goal of our organization. During one of our mission trips to Mexico, we volunteered with a local organization and showed us the part of Cabo San Lucas that tourists don't see. It's truly heartbreaking to see that beyond the luxurious resorts, you can also find one of the poorest community in North America. At the same time, we were thankful for the opportunity to serve.

To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived; this is to have succeeded.
